Day 2's Notes - Continued 繼續第二天的雜記

Skógafoss is renowned as one of Iceland’s biggest and most beautiful waterfalls, boasting an impressive width of 15 meters (49 feet) and a drop of 60 meters (200 feet).

Due to the sheer amount of spray the waterfall produces, a rainbow is often present.

When I visited, I had no clue that the possibility of seeing a rainbow was so high. I felt elated as I snapped a photo of the vibrant arch over the waterfall, and was moved to praise the Lord for His love.

Skógafoss can also be viewed from the top, as a steep staircase leads to an observation platform directly above the falls. Unfortunately, when we visited, the wind was so fierce and the staircase felt so shaky. My sister and I became concerned the structure might buckle, and we ultimately decided to turn back halfway up. We hope to have an opportunity in the future to climb the entire staircase to enjoy the promised great view of Iceland’s southern coast.

斯科加瀑布/彩虹瀑布是冰島最大、最美麗的瀑布之一，號稱有 15 公尺（49 英尺）寬和 60 公尺（200 英尺）的落差。

由於氣勢磅礴的水流飛湧直下，水花高濺，因此經常會出現彩虹。因而也有彩虹瀑布之稱。

我來的時候，完全不知道能看到彩虹的幾率這麼高。當我捕捉到瞬間出現又稍縱即逝的彩虹，高高得橫掛在這名不虛實的瀑布上，我欣喜若狂，不禁稱頌偉大的造物主, 這麼眷顧我。

斯科加瀑布也可以從頂部觀賞，一條很陡的階梯通往瀑布正上方的觀景台。可惜的是，我們去的時候風很大，階梯搖搖晃晃的，實在恐怖。我和妹妹手牽手爬到一半，擔心階梯會塌陷，最後嚇得趕緊往回走。我們希望將來有機會能爬完整條階梯，在其上能夠眺望冰島南部海岸的壯麗景色。
