Day 3's Notes 第三天的雜記

The name "Brúarfoss" translates directly to "Bridge Falls," a reference to the natural stone bridge that once spanned the river. Although the bridge was destroyed centuries ago, historical references to it date back as far as the 16th century.

While Brúarfoss is a relatively small waterfall, its diminutive size does nothing to diminish its staggering beauty. The river's breathtaking, tiffany blue color is so vivid that it has earned the fall the nickname "The Tiffany Blue Waterfall," causing many people to regard Brúarfoss as one of Iceland's hidden gems.

Located within the popular Golden Circle route, the waterfall sits on private land and was historically difficult to find, requiring visitors to navigate a winding path. This challenge is reflected in its common Chinese translation, "Mysterious Waterfall."

Fortunately for visitors, accessibility significantly improved in spring 2023. Previously, reaching the falls required a strenuous 6.5-kilometer (4-mile) round-trip hike. Now, however, the location is easily reached by car, requiring only a short walk of a few minutes from the designated parking lot.

“Brúarfoss” 這個名字直接翻譯過來就是「橋梁瀑布」，指的是曾經橫跨河流的天然石橋。雖然這座橋在幾個世紀前就已損毀，但有關它的歷史記載最早可以追溯到16世紀。

布魯爾瀑布(音譯)雖然規模相對較小，但這絲毫沒有減損它令人嘆為觀止的美麗。河水呈現出令人屏息的蒂芙尼藍，如此鮮豔奪目，以至於它贏得了「蒂芙尼藍瀑布」的美譽，也讓許多人將布魯爾瀑布視為冰島的隱藏瑰寶之一。

這座瀑布位於熱門的黃金圈旅遊路線上，坐落在私人土地上，過去很難找到，遊客需要沿著蜿蜒的小路才能到達。這種神秘感也體現在其常見的中文翻譯「神秘瀑布」/「秘境瀑布」/「藍色秘境瀑布」中。

幸運的是，2023年春季，前往瀑布的交通便利性得到了顯著改善。此前，遊客需要徒步往返 6.5 公里（4英里）才能到達瀑布，路途艱辛。而現在，開車即可輕鬆抵達，只需從指定的停車場步行幾分鐘即可到達。
