Grettislaug 格雷蒂斯勞格

Grettislaug, a legendary geothermal hot spring in North Iceland, is nestled beautifully on the shores of Skagafjörður. This historic site is famously known as the bathing spot of the Icelandic saga outlaw, Grettir the Strong. The setting features two rustic stone-lined pools, offering different temperatures for soaking. The surrounding scenery is stunning, providing breathtaking views of the sea, mountains, and the distinctive outline of Drangey island in the distance. With its basic changing rooms and showers, Grettislaug delivers a truly authentic and raw Icelandic natural bathing experience. A nearby camping and guesthouse option is available during the summer months.

Completed in 1993, the concrete Blönduóskirkja in Blönduós is notable among Icelandic churches for its unconventional, unique architecture.
