Recipe: Hibiscus tea 洛神花茶

Ingredients 食材

  • 2 quarts water 水
  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers 洛神花
    (I buy them from a Mexican supermarket)
  • Sugar 糖

Instructions 作法

  1. HIBISCUS CONCENTRATE
    1. Put 2 quarts (8 cups) of water in a pot
    2. Add 2 cups of dried hibiscus flowers to the water
    3. Bring to a boil
    4. As soon as the water boils reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes
    5. After 10 minutes turn off the heat and allow the hibiscus concentrate to cool
  2. PITCHER OF JAMAICA
    1. Put 1/3 of the concentrate in a half gallon pitcher and add the sugar
    2. Fill the pitcher with cool water and stir vigorously to dissolve the water
    3. Serve chilled or over ice
  1. 洛神花茶濃縮液
    1. 將 2 誇脫 (8 杯) 水放入鍋中
    2. 將 2 杯乾洛神花加入水中
    3. 煮滾
    4. 水沸騰後立即將火調至小火煮10分鐘
    5. 10分鐘後關掉火,讓洛神花濃縮液冷卻
  2. 一壺洛神花茶
    1. 將 1/3 濃縮液放入半加侖水罐中並添加糖
    2. 在水罐中倒入冷水並劇烈攪拌以溶解糖
    3. 冷藏或加冰食用
