Plant: Prunus 李屬/梅屬

Prunus is a beautiful genus of flowering trees and shrubs from the Rosaceae family. It includes some of my favorite fruits — plums, cherries, peaches, nectarines, apricots, and almonds. Together, these are known as stone fruits, named for the hard “stone” or pit inside each one that protects the seed.

These plants are native to temperate regions of North America, the neotropics of South America, and both temperate and tropical parts of Eurasia and Africa. Many Prunus species are grown around the world, not only for their sweet, juicy fruits but also for their stunning blossoms that brighten up gardens and parks each spring.

I’ve taken countless photos of different Prunus species, but identifying them all has been quite a challenge! I’ll share some of those photos here.

梅屬（Prunus）又名李屬，是薔薇科下美麗的開花喬木和灌木屬。它包含一些我最喜歡的水果——李子、櫻桃、桃子、油桃、杏仁和扁桃仁。這些水果統稱為核果，因其內部堅硬的「核」或果核保護種子而得名。

這些植物原產於北美洲溫帶地區、南美洲新熱帶地區以及歐亞大陸和非洲的溫帶和熱帶地區。許多李屬/梅屬植物在世界各地都有種植，不僅因為它們果實香甜多汁，還因為它們絢麗的花朵，每年春天都能為花園和公園增添光彩。

我拍了無數不同種類李屬植物的照片，但要全部辨識出來真是個不小的挑戰！我在這裡分享一些它們的照片。
