Plant: Cherry Plum (Prunus cerasifera) 櫻桃李

Prunus cerasifera (cherry plum or Myrobalan plum) is a tree native to Southeast Europe and Western Asia, now naturalized in parts of Europe, North America, and Australia. It is among the first European trees to flower in spring, producing fragrant white or pale pink blossoms. Its edible fruits ripen from yellow to red between July and September. Commonly used as an ornamental tree for its early bloom, cultivated varieties display a range of fruit, flower, and foliage colors, with fruits that may be sweet for eating or sour for jam-making.

Prunus cerasifera 'Krauter Vesuvius', or Krauter Vesuvius Purple Leaf Plum, is a popular ornamental deciduous tree known for its dark purple foliage and showy, light pink spring blossoms. It is a low-maintenance, non-fruiting, or very low-fruiting variety that grows to be about 20 feet tall and is suitable for use as a specimen tree, street tree, or in small yards.
