我在台灣陽明山的二子坪看到霜白蜻蜓及鼎脈蜻蜓，由於我完全不懂生物，從中文翻譯的英文專有名詞可能有誤，在此聲明一下。霜白蜻蜓是一種中等體型的蜻蜓。雄蟲複眼綠褐色。合胸灰褐到藍灰色，翅透明，翅痣黑色，後翅基部褐色。腹部暗紅色。雌蟲合胸及腹部黃褐色，合胸無明顯奔斑紋，僅在中胸側縫處有一不明顯褐色帶。它是一種廣泛分佈的物種，從印度西部到日本，以南到爪哇和巽他群島。它在池塘、湖泊和緩慢的溪流中繁殖。
I saw the Crimson-tailed marsh hawk and Blue-tailed forest hawk in Erziping, Yangmingshan, Taiwan. Since I don’t understand biology at all, the English translation from Chinese may be wrong. I just would like to make a statement here. Crimson-tailed marsh hawk is a medium-sized dragonfly. Male compound eyes are green-brown. Synthorax is greyish-brown to blue-gray. The wings are transparent and pterostigma is black. The base of the hind wings is brown. The abdomen is dark red. The Female’s thorax and abdomen are yellowish-brown, with no obvious streaks on the thorax, and only an inconspicuous brown band on the side seam of the middle thorax. It is a widespread species occurring from west India to Japan and south to Java and the Sunda Islands. It breeds in ponds, lakes and sluggish streams.
