Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the City of Los Angeles issued the “Safer at Home” (Stay-At-Home) order on March 19,2020. In these three months we lived a life that we had never imagined. Many businesses were closed and only essential businesses were open. You could only pick up or get food delivered from restaurants. In Zoom (or other video meetings) or news you see many people had unsightly gray hairs or weird haircuts because of the hair salon’s closing. Social distancing, 20 seconds hand washing and face coverings become public announcements themes. What’s our progress in this pandemic situation? Here is the data from Worldometer:
受新冠肺炎（COVID-19）疫情影響，洛杉磯市於 2020 年 3 月 19 日發布了「居家更安全」（Safer at Home）的命令。在這三個月裡，我們經歷了一種前所未有的生活：許多商家被迫停業，僅有提供必要服務的行業維持營運；餐飲服務僅限於外送自取或送餐上門。在 Zoom（或其他視訊會議）畫面或新聞報導中，常能看到人們因理髮店關閉而頂著難看的灰白頭髮或奇怪的髮型。保持社交距離、洗手 20 秒、戴口罩成了公共宣傳的主題。那麼，我們在應對疫情方面進展如何？以下是來自 Worldometer 的數據，美國感染者數字不斷增加：
*Only the 1st column data is as of 2020.03.19. The rest of the columns data are as of 2020.06.22. I picked Italy for comparison because they got hit hard in the beginning. I pick Taiwan because it shows the contrast of implementing good public health policies/procedures early saving lives.
COVID-19 cases were controlled for a few weeks and now jump up again.
To remind myself, “rest” is a mindset. We might be hunkering down in the house with less movements yet feel restless. Worrying about this, questioning about that… “Rest” is a promise in the Bible by believing not by our own work. We can enter into that rest by faith.

新冠病例曾一度受到控制，如今又再次激增。
我提醒自己，安息是一種心態。我們可能在家中躲避病毒，從外看起來靜止不動，但內在憂心忡忡沒有安寧，擔心這又質疑那。其實安息在聖經中是一個應許，不靠自己努力而只憑心裏相信。憑著信我們可以得安息(放心)。
