Sin is not merely doing wrong; at its core, it is "betrayal" and "independence." Humans attempt to usurp God's place and define good and evil for themselves.

- Clothed with Christ: God’s act of making garments of skin for man foreshadows how believers in the New Covenant are to "clothe [themselves] with Christ" (Galatians 3:27), relying on the salvation won through Jesus’ shed blood on the cross to cover our sins and unrighteousness.
- The Promise of Redemption (The Protoevangelium): Buried within the curses is a ray of hope. In Genesis 3:15, God declares that the offspring of the woman will eventually crush the serpent's head. In Christian theology, this is viewed as the first prophecy of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, who ultimately defeats sin and death.
Personal Insights and Further Findings
"Sin" is often a trivial little thing—even when your conscience or the Holy Spirit warns you "don't do it," your mind tells you that something so insignificant surely doesn't matter if you do it anyway. But decades later, when you remember it, you still feel self-reproach and a lack of peace. I remember decades ago, out of laziness, I didn't return a shopping cart to the cart corral and instead just left it at the edge of a parking space—a passerby lectured me about it. To this day, I still think of that incident after shopping and feel quite ashamed. Sin, whether big or small, robs us of our peace. So when you clearly know something is wrong, even if it's just a trivial little thing, it's best not to do it—otherwise, your conscience will remind you of it for the rest of your life.

「罪」常常是芝麻小事一樁，即使良心或聖靈提醒你「別做」，但是你的腦袋會告訴你，這種不關緊要的小事，做了也沒什麼大不了的。但是，幾十年過去，當你想起來，還是會自譴、不平安。記得幾十年前，偷懶，沒把購物車放回推車收集處，就往停車格的邊邊擱著，被路人說教了一番。至今，購物後仍會想起這件事，覺得很羞慚。犯罪，不管事大或事小，都會讓我們失去平安。所以，當你明明知道是不對的事，即使是不關緊要的小事一樁，最好不要去做，否則，你的良心會提醒你一輩子。
