Words of the Day: 2022.04.13 Salvation is by Faith, not by our good works

What a blessing it is to receive grace not by our own works. Paul uses Abraham as an example of someone who lived in a right relationship with God by trusting God's promises. Paul highlights that Abraham was considered righteous because of his faith, not because of his actions or adherence to the law. Romans 4 emphasizes that salvation is a gift from God, obtained through faith in Jesus Christ.

Romans 4:4-8
Now to the one who works,
wages are not credited as a gift
but as an obligation.
However, to the one who does not work
but trusts God who justifies the ungodly,
their faith is credited as righteousness.
David says the same thing
when he speaks of the blessedness of the one
to whom God credits righteousness
apart from works:
“Blessed are those
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the one whose sin
the Lord will never count against them.”

乃是該得的;
