When we are suffering from sickness and distress, we often imagine that God is a magician. He waves his magic wand several times, and suddenly all the sickness and suffering vanish. Then, we think we can go on living our lives in peace of mind. Although God can perform wonders and miracles, He is not a so-called magician. He does not use illusions to make things disappear in order to win your admiration. Instead, He hopes that you can establish a close relationship with Him in difficult situations. By seeking Him and spending time with Him, your life can be transformed and fully healed.
當我們遭到病痛、困苦的時候，我們幻想著神像個魔術師，祂魔杖轉幾圏，所有的病痛、困苦都不見了，而我們就可以安心自在地過自己的生活。神雖會行神蹟奇事，但祂不是所謂的魔術師，祂不是利用假像把東西變不見，來贏得你的愛戴。祂更希望你能在困境中與祂建立親蜜的關係，藉著尋求祂及花時間親近祂，你的生命能得著轉化，並且得到完全的醫治。
Psalm 27:7-14
Hear my voice when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says of you,
“Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.
Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away
in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
God my Savior.
Though my father and mother
forsake me,
the Lord will receive me.
Teach me your way, Lord;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
Do not turn me over
to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses
rise up against me,
spouting malicious accusations.
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
詩篇 27:7-14
耶和華啊，
我用聲音呼籲的時候，
求你垂聽；
並求你憐恤我，應允我。
你說：你們當尋求我的面。
那時我心向你說：
耶和華啊，你的面我正要尋求。
不要向我掩面。
不要發怒趕逐僕人，
你向來是幫助我的。
救我的神啊，不要丟掉我，
也不要離棄我。
我父母離棄我，
耶和華必收留我。
耶和華啊，
求你將你的道指教我，
因我仇敵的緣故
引導我走平坦的路。
求你不要把我交給敵人，
遂其所願；
因為妄作見證的和口吐凶言的，
起來攻擊我。
我若不信在活人之地
得見耶和華的恩惠，
就早已喪膽了。
要等候耶和華！
當壯膽，堅固你的心！
我再說，要等候耶和華！
