One day, I spotted a Belted Kingfisher from a distance. I hurriedly took two photos because I was afraid it would fly away. Then, I slowly moved forward. As expected, after taking just two steps, it flew away. I felt disappointed that I missed the chance to take closer shots. This made me think that when opportunities come, we must seize them quickly, or they may slip away. It also reminded me of the story in the Bible about the woman suffering from hemorrhage. It is recorded in the three Gospels—Matthew 9:20-23, Mark 5:25-34, and Luke 8:43-48. She believed that Jesus could perform miracles and heal her. When she had the chance to touch the edge of Jesus’s cloak, she seized the moment and was healed.
有一天當我遠遠看到一隻帶魚狗，趕緊照了兩張照片，很怕它飛走了，然後才慢慢向前移進，不出所料，才往前兩步，它就飛走了，我感到有些失望，不再有機會再照近一點的照片。這讓我想到，當我們看到機會來臨時，就要趕緊抓住，否則稍縱即逝。我也想起聖經中一個患血漏病的婦人的故事，在馬太9:20-23, 馬可5:25-34，路加8:43-48 這三卷福音書中都有記載，這婦人知道耶穌能行神蹟奇事，能醫治她，當她有機會觸摸耶穌衣服的繸子時，她便抓緊了機會，也因此她得醫治。
Matthew 9:20-22
Just then a woman who had been
subject to bleeding for twelve years
came up behind him
and touched the edge of his cloak.
She said to herself,
“If I only touch his cloak,
I will be healed.”
Jesus turned and saw her.
“Take heart, daughter,” he said,
“your faith has healed you.”
And the woman was healed
at that moment.
馬太福音 9:20-22
有一個女人，
患了十二年的血漏，
來到耶穌背後，
摸他的衣裳繸子；
因為他心裡說：
我只摸他的衣裳，
就必痊愈。
耶穌轉過來，看見他，
就說：女兒，放心！
你的信救了你。
從那時候，
女人就痊愈了。
