Words of the Day: 2020.11.13 Seek the Lord

(This post was published on my old blog on November 13, 2020.)

My soul was stirred recently due to many current events. I had concerns for righteousness, morality, and ethics of people and the country. When I have no peace in my heart, I listen to hymns, read the Bible or concentrate on researching information and writing blog posts. These activities become the best ways to calm my soul. While I’m writing this post, I enjoy these verses and I would like to share with you.

Isaiah 55:6-9
Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.

Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord,
and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

惡人當離棄自己的道路;
耶和華就必憐恤他;
我的意念非同你們的意念;
我的道路高過你們的道路;
