Travel/POI: Wonder of the Seas 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise - 1. Introductions 海洋奇蹟號7晚西加勒比海郵輪之旅簡介

In early December 2024, we took a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas with my daughter’s entire family. Wonder of the Seas was completed in 2022. This 2-year-old ship, with a gross tonnage of 235,600 GT, was the third-largest cruise ship by gross tonnage as of 2024. It is 215 feet (65 meters) wide and 1,188 feet (362 meters) long.

The ship has a total of 18 decks (16 of which are accessible to guests), 2,886 staterooms, and 25 restaurants, including 11 specialty restaurants. It can accommodate 5,772 passengers at double occupancy, or up to a maximum of 7,026 passengers, along with a crew of 2,204 from around the world.

The ship offers a wide range of amenities, including eight themed neighborhoods: Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place, and the Youth Zone. It is designed to provide diverse entertainment options for all guests.

Additionally, the cruise ship is remarkably stable. On a few days when the waves were particularly strong, the diving show at the water theater had to be canceled. However, I didn’t experience any seasickness at all, so seasickness is likely not a major concern for most passengers.

2024 年 12 月初我們與女兒一家人一起乘坐皇家加勒比國際遊輪的海洋奇蹟號遊加勒比西部海岸。海洋奇蹟號於 2022 年竣工。這艘船齡 2 年的遊輪總噸位 235,600，截至 2024 年海洋奇蹟號是總噸位第三大的遊輪。它寬 215 英尺（65 公尺），長 1,188 英尺（362 公尺）。

共有18層甲板（其中16層甲板供客人使用），2886間客艙，25家餐廳（其中11家為特色餐廳）。雙人入住時可容納 5,772 名乘客，最多可容納 7,026 名乘客，並有 2,204 名國際工作人員。

這艘遊輪有許多娛樂消遣設施，例如中央公園、百達匯歡樂城、皇家大道、泳池和運動區、海上活力水療和健身中心、娛樂場所和青年區等八個主題街區。這是一艘提供許多不同種娛樂的遊輪。

另外順便一提，這艘遊輪相當穩，有幾天風浪過大，水上劇場的跳水表演還被取消，但是容易暈船的我卻沒什麼感覺，所以不太需要擔心暈船問題。

The 7-night Western Caribbean cruise we chose started in Orlando, Florida, and included stops at CocoCay in the Bahamas, Cozumel in Mexico, Roatán in Honduras, and Puerto Costa Maya in Mexico, with two sea days in between. The cruise then returned to Orlando. I will share our experiences at these ports in the next post.

Our room is very comfortable. King size bed and plenty of storage spaces. Deck is also lovely.

Deck 8: Cabins, Central Park, Music Hall, Shops, Bars and Restaurants

Central Park is an outdoor relaxation area featuring live tropical plants and trees as well as live entertainment. It is especially enjoyable to stroll through at night.

中央公園是戶外休閒區，不僅有熱帶植物與樹木，還有現場娛樂表演。尤其是在夜晚，漫步其中倍感愜意。

Deck 6: Cabins, Spa and Fitness Center, Bars and Restaurants, Aquatheater, Boardwalk

The spa and fitness center offers classes, seminars, and treatments. The water show is amazing, and my granddaughter especially enjoyed the carousel on the Boardwalk.

inTENse, the Aqua Theater show featuring water ballet, high-diving, and aerial performances, is amazing. Tickets sell out quickly, so you should reserve them as soon as possible.

The food on the cruise ship is quite good. My favorite was the buffet at the Solarium Bistro, which offered a comfortable environment and healthier food options.
