Plant: Chinese Snowball (Viburnum macrocephalum) 繡球莢蒾

I have seen Chinese Snowball at the LA Arboretum and the Huntington Library. It is native to mainland China. It produces the largest flower clusters among the snowball viburnums. The blossoms first appear green, quickly turn white, and are sterile; therefore, they have little to no fragrance and do not produce fruit.

我在洛杉磯植物園和亨廷頓圖書館都看過繡球莢蒾。它原產於中國大陸。它是雪球莢蒾屬植物中花序最大的。花朵初開時呈綠色，很快變為白色，且不孕；因此，它們幾乎沒有香味，也不會結果。
