Plant: Lysimachia mauritiana 海濱珍珠菜

Lysimachia mauritiana is a species of flowering plant in the primrose family Primulaceae. The common names include Kolokolo Kahakai and Spoonleaf Yellow Loosestrife. It is native to eastern Asia, where it is widespread in coastal areas, including China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, and various islands in the Indian and Pacific Ocean. Its natural habitat is along beaches and maritime rock crevices.
海濱珍珠菜，又名茅毛珍珠菜、濱拂子、濱排草、珍珠菜，是報春花科珍珠菜屬的植物。分布於日本、朝鮮、菲律賓、太平洋、印度洋島嶼、台灣以及中華人民共和國的遼寧、江蘇、浙江、山東、福建、廣東等地，多生在海濱沙灘石縫中，目前尚未由人工引種栽培。

  • It is a biennial, growing to 50 cm tall. It has fleshy spathulate to obovate leaves. It produces white terminal racemes of flowers in late spring and early summer.
