In Chino Hills State Park I saw a wildflower, Field Bindweed. The flowers are trumpet-shaped, white or pale pink. It grows rapidly and can choke the surrounding plants so it is considered as an invasive species.
在Chino Hills State Park 看到另一種野花，就是田旋花。花為喇叭形，白色或淺粉紅色。它的繁殖力很強，而且也會窒息周邊的植物，因而被視為入侵物種。

- Field Bindweed is in the morning glory family. It is a climbing or creeping herbaceous perennial plant. It is native to Europe and Asia.
- The leaves are spirally arranged, linear to arrowhead-shaped. The flowers are trumpet-shaped, white or pale pink, with five slightly darker pink radial stripes. Flowering occurs in the mid-summer. Fruit are light brown. Each fruit contains 2 seeds that are eaten by birds and can remain viable in the soil for decades.
- Although it produces attractive flowers, it is often unwelcome in gardens as a nuisance weed due to its rapid growth and choking of cultivated plants. It was most likely introduced into North America as a contaminant in crop seed as early as 1739, as an invasive species.
- Bindweed is difficult to eliminate. Roots may extend from 9 feet to 30 feet deep. New plants may sprout from seeds that are up to 20 years old. New plants can also form from root runners and root fragments. Bindweed can be controlled by pulling it out by hand or plowing it up every three weeks; or applying a barrier to block sun; or use biological control, let insects and mites to eat them.
- Field bindweed can be used as a traditional Chinese medicine. It has the effects of relieving colds, pain and itching. It is mainly used to treat rheumatic paralysis pain, toothache, and neurodermatitis.
