In the garden at the entrance of Peck Road Park, I saw Gilia Capitata. I like purple. Although the flower is small, it is beautiful in my eye. It is native to much of western North America from Alaska to northern Mexico. Gilia capitata is known by the common names blue-thimble-flower, bluehead gilia, blue field gilia, and globe gilia.
