The dwarf crow or small brown crow, is a butterfly that belongs to the danaid group of the Nymphalidae (brush-footed butterflies) family. Due to the purple iridescence of the butterfly under sunlight, the butterfly is also commonly referred to as the purple crow. The dwarf crow is found in Southeast Asia, including southern China, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, southern Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, northeastern Australia, the Philippines and Fiji. It has a wingspan of about 4 to 8 centimeters. It is the smallest of the Euploea that inhabits Taiwan, and its wing shape is similar to Euploea eunice. With more than one generation per year, the adult butterfly prefers to move in the open environment around broad-leaved forests or secondary forests. It flies slowly and loves to visit flowers. The host plant of the larvae is Malaisia scandens of the Moraceae family.
小紫斑蝶是蛺蝶科斑蝶亞科的物種。由於翅背常有藍、紫色金屬光澤，俗稱紫斑蝶屬。小紫斑蝶主要分布於東南亞，包括中國的華南地區、越南、寮國、緬甸、泰國南部，馬來西亞、新加坡、印尼、澳洲東北部、菲律賓及斐濟。它的翼展約為4至8公分。是在台灣棲息的紫斑蝶屬中最小，翅形近似圓翅紫斑蝶。一年多世代，成蝶偏好在闊葉林或次生林周圍的開闊環境活動，飛行緩慢，好訪花。幼蟲寄主植物為桑科的盤龍木。
